Encinitas Family Beach Session

This whole session with my nieces made me feel like a kid again. We spent our time at the beach building rock towers, exploring tide pools, and enjoying all the beautiful sights at Swami’s Beach.

Sisterhood is such a unique and precious bond. These two have the sweetest bond with one another and let that shine during our session. Their connection with each other and the beach itself is strong. They are Southern California natives named after Solana beach and Aviara Parkway, so cool! Aviara could not get enough of the seaweed and getting her feet in the water. Solana was writing in the sand and enjoying climbing the beautiful cliffs.

This session was one of my first attempts at capturing the organic moments in a more documentary style versus posed. This is a route I have been wanting to go with my photography for a long time and it almost makes me emotional seeing that dream come to life. A lot of the difference in this style versus posed isn’t necessarily what I have my clients do. More of my focus is now gearing towards details and little moments that can easily be looked over. Those details are what tells a story.
